FALL FEST SIMMENTAL/SIMBRAH SALE SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 9, 2006

Cleburne, Texas – Plans are currently underway for the sixteenth annual Fall Fest Simmental/Simbrah Sale and this year promises some new and exciting features and additions. The Heart of Texas Simmental/Simbrah Association has enthusiastically agreed to endorse and sponsor this year's sale, which will be held at the Drew Ranch near Hearne, Texas, on September 9, 2006. Fall Fest is considered to be one of the premier sources for elite Black Simmental cattle in Texas. In addition, excellent Red Simmental, Black and Red SimAngus, Black and Red Simbrah and Fleckvieh genetics have also traditionally been represented. Last year a special attraction of 15 elite Full Fleckvieh lots were consigned by Das Fleckvieh Gruppen and this year they will return with more top selections from their members' herds.

Early consignments include a fancy set of bred Black Simmental heifers all A.I. sired and A.I. bred to top calving ease bulls. A number of young, strong Black Simmental cows with calves at side will sell, again with elite pedigrees and a super set of true show prospects will be offered, both Simmental and Simbrah. The SimAngus consignments will include some broody bred females – the “mama cow kind.” Simbrah will be represented in numbers this year with a good selection of pairs, bred females and open show prospects.

The ever-growing awareness of the benefits of composites and hybrid genetics is producing an increasing demand for Simgenetics as they are the Continental and American breeds of choice to add growth, milk, muscle, mothering ability and carcass superiority. Fall Fest has long been known as the fall source for breeders to acquire state-of-the-art Simgenetics to help supply this growing demand.
