CATTLESOFT ANNOUNCES NEW CATTLEMAX CERTIFICATIONS

College Station, Texas Cattlesoft, Inc. has taken its commitment to industry involvement one step further with the new CattleMax Certifications.

Using innovative design and customer input, this new version of CattleMax software continues to provide a complete management tool for herds of all sizes. This user-friendly program accommodates those with limited computer skills, and takes a simple, yet complete, approach to the data entry process.

This program offers individuals an opportunity to demonstrate knowledge and skill with the leading cattle management software program. The program involves two levels of certification: CattleMax Certified Users and CattleMax Certified Experts.

The Certified User designation is designed for anyone who would like to be certified for their working skills of the software. This may include ranch employees, college students, and companies that work directly with ranches.

The CattleMax Certified Expert designation requires a more comprehensive test, and is designed for those with an advanced knowledge of the software. This program is recommended for individuals or businesses interested in providing training or consulting services for other CattleMax users. Those interested in the CattleMax Expert designation must first pass the Certified User test.

To become CattleMax certified, interested parties must first submit an application, and are then emailed the test to complete. Testing fees are $25 for Certified Users and $35 for Certified Experts. The test is "open-resource," and must be completed within seven days. All testing materials may be acquired online or through mail, eliminating the need for travel to a testing site.

Upon certification, Certified Users and Certified Experts will receive a CattleMax certificate, printed business cards and special CattleMax discount offers. The Cattlesoft, Inc. website will provide verification of their certification status.

In addition, Certified Experts will have opportunities to represent the CattleMax software at trade shows, host their own CattleMax training sessions and gain priority access to CattleMax support staff.

Janice Burgess, of Watson Land & Cattle in Allen Parish, La., was the first CattleMax customer to become a Certified Expert.

"I thought it would be helpful and give me a better understanding of the software," she said, "I thought it might help me explain the program to my employers or anyone else interested in keeping better records on their cattle."
