LA MUNECA HOSTS UP BEAT ALL DAY SIMBRAH EVENT

“La Muneca Cattle Co. celebrated it's 20th Annual LMC Jr. Round Up and LMC Futurity on Oct, 6, 2007. Over 125 juniors and 40 plus adults participated in the field day. Every junior won at least one door prize and there was over $1,000 awarded in premiums and buckles to the juniors. Buckle donors were Scott Martin, Santos Escobar, Lyssy & Eckel and La Muneca Cattle Co. Special Award donors were the families of Michael Grahmann and Darryl Raub. The premium sponsor for the field day was Texas State Bank,” stated Carlos X. Guerra.

“The Field Day winners were : Junior – Mykaela Garza, Intermediate – Sarah Ponce, Senior - Amanda Ochoa and Adult – Sheryl Sims. Over $2,000 worth of door prizes were given away thanks to the following donors - Farm & Ranch - Kito Saenz, Hidalgo County Farm Bureau, Frank Trevino Family, Louie Flores Family, G & S Glass, Cactus Country 4-H Club, Charlie Murphy Family, Doug Lightfoot Family, Rolando Guerra – ING, Sinton Feed Store, Morenos Feed & Pet Store and Stillman 4-H Club.

Speakers for the Field Day were Joe Mask, Michael Grahmann, Doug Denny, Victor Guerra, Fire Chief Shawn Snider, Grant Bitner, Kyle McManus, Stepahanie Guerra and Carlos X. Guerra. Over 300 Simbrah enthusiasts were treated at the First Annual LMC Customer Appreciation Dinner and Dance after the Futurity, stated Guerra.

The 20th Annual LMC Futurity had over $10,000 awarded in premiums, feed, buckles and prizes THANKS to our many donors plus our juniors did a great job of selling raffle tickets. The Darryl Raub family won the $1,000 credit for next year by selling the most tickets. A BIG HEARTY THANKS goes out to Richard Foster and Frost Bank for adding $1,250 in premiums to our Showmanship contest, to the Rey Ramon Family for their donation and to Purina Mills for their feed donation. Judges were Javier Moreno - cattle and Kyle McManus - Showmanship.

The 2007 LMC Special Award Winners were – LMC Volunteers of the Year – Doug and Karen Lightfoot, LMC Educators of the Year – Kyle and Jodi McManus and LMC Boosters of the Year – Richard and Betsy Foster and Bud and Lupita Wentz.

Upcoming LMC JUNIOR EVENTS will be the Super Bowl in San Antonio and the LMC Jackpot held in conjunction with the MAS $15,000 SHOWDOWN III on March 28 and 29th. Over $40,000 in awards and premiums will be given out to our junior clients at these three events. Call or email on how you can get involved in America's most supportive junior program.
