Angeles, January 2, 2006 -- Previously available only in fine restaurants and at private country clubs, Greg Norman SignatureT Wagyu will be sold for the first time at retail level at Bristol Farms beginning January, 2007, it was announced today. Greg Norman SignatureT Wagyu is the flagship line of a new luxury beef brand developed by Greg Norman in partnership with AAco, Australia's leading beef producer.
Greg Norman SignatureT Wagyu will be available this January as part of Bristol Farm's "Flavors From Australia" promotion centering on the foods, beverages and universal appeal of all things Down Under.
All 14 Bristol Farms retail stores, including the new Palm Desert location opening in mid-January, will carry the line's tri-tip cut, a California favorite which earns a marble score 7 on the 12 point Japanese marbling scale.
Greg Norman SignatureT Wagyu is a 350-day, grain-fed line of imported Australian Wagyu. Pronounced WAG-oo, it's a super-premium beef known not only for its generous marbling, but also for its fat quality; Wagyu cattle produce beef that is lower in saturated fats than other beef.
