TIEMANN JOINS AMERICAN SIMMENTAL ASSOCIATION FIELD STAFF
BOZEMAN,
MT. — Wesley Tiemann, a native of Martinsburg, Missouri,
is the newest addition to the ASA Field Services staff. On January 11, he assumed
responsibility for states in the Southern Region of the US, primarily working
in Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas and Louisiana. “We
are really looking forward to Wesley starting,” said Marty Ropp, ASA's Director
of Field Services. “He brings a great attitude and enthusiasm to our team and
is eager to take on the challenges and rewards that come with serving a membership
organization.” Tiemann,
will receive his B.S. degree in Animal Science and a Minor in Business this May
from Kansas State University. He has participated in livestock judging at both
KSU and Fort Scott Community College, while also being an active member in the
Block and Bridle Club. The son of Trent Tiemann and Rhonda Blaue, Tiemann was
very active in the purebred Hampshire swine business, 4-H and FFA while growing
up. Prior to joining the ASA staff, Tiemann spent much of the past six years
working for operations in both the beef seedstock and commercial business in
addition to pursuing his education. The American Simmental Association is headquartered
in Bozeman, Montana, and maintains the breed registries for the Simmental and
Simbrah breeds of cattle. ASA has an active adult and junior membership of nearly
8,000.
