DATE SET FOR SANTA GERTRUDIS BLUEBONNET SALE

Eighty-seven registered Santa Gertrudis cattle are consigned to the 2007 Annual Santa Gertrudis Bluebonnet Classic, Saturday, March 24th, at the William and Alton Allen Memorial Exposition Center, Hallettsville, Texas.

The Bluebonnet Classic focuses on offering some of the best replacement females in the breed. This year's consignments consists of 82 females with pairs, 3 in 1's, open heifers, bred heifers, and pens of two heifers. In addition, there are five young herd sires entered in this sale.

Sale Chairman Wes Hall stated, “This will be the largest Bluebonnet Sale to date. Not only is the quantity up but the quality is even better than ever. These cattle will fit any breeder's herd aiming to make improvements.” He added, “We invite you to come after 3 p.m. Friday afternoon, March 23rd, to look the cattle over, stay and join us for dinner and fellowship, 6 p.m. To start sale day off right, full breakfast will be served 8 a.m. with time to look at cattle before 11 a.m. sale. We'll even treat you to lunch after the sale.”
