The Chenault Agriculture Center in Mount Sterling, Ky., will host a regional SimConference co-sponsored by the Kentucky Simmental Association on October 10, 2008.
This day-long educational program is open to all cattlemen, Simmental breeders and enthusiasts. The first speaker is scheduled for 10 a.m. Lunch will be provided and the program will finish at 5 p.m.
Speakers from the University of Kentucky, Kentucky Cattlemen's Association, Blue Grass Stockyards and the American Simmental Association will present information about current research, marketing programs and utilizing heterosis to aid producers in making better cattle, better beef and increasing profitability.
Several speakers will address the combination of genetic improvement and advanced marketing opportunities necessary to take financial advantage of producing a better product. Beef cattle research initiatives and University Extension programs of The University of Kentucky will also be highlighted at the event.
The Chenault Agriculture Center is located on the south side of Mount Sterling at 2130 Camargo Road (460 East), just south off of the 686 By-Pass.
