DENVER (Dec. 10, 2008) – NCBA's
Cattlemen to Cattlemen, an award-winning television program created by the National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA) in 2007, will celebrate its 100th episode Dec. 30. The half-hour program appears weekly on RFD-TV, debuting on each Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. Eastern and repeating on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and Sunday at midnight.
Highlighted in the 100th episode will be stories from the program's first two years, including George Bush's visit to the 2007 Spring Legislative Conference, a day in the life of NCBA officer Bill Donald of Montana, the cost of running a cow, the launch of the beef industry's new consumer advertising campaign and a view of premises registration at Hedge Apple Farms in Buckey's Town, Md.
“We're so excited about what NCBA's Cattlemen to Cattlemen has been able to accomplish in terms of both informing and educating producers,” says Andy Groseta, an Arizona beef producer and NCBA president. “It gives producers a very visual and personal look at a wide variety of production and marketing issues.”

Cattlemen to Cattlemen contains tips for reducing production costs, trends affecting the cattle market and insights into what's going on in Washington, D.C. Producer education segments are especially popular, featuring suggestions for calf-pre-conditioning, disease control and prevention, bull selection, herd health and nutrition, and rangeland management.
“We're both proud of what Cattlemen to Cattlemen has been able to accomplish, and excited about what it can bring to viewers in 2009,” says Groseta. “The kind of information the show provides is both valuable and entertaining.”
Host for the upcoming season of NCBA's Cattlemen to Cattlemen will be Kevin Ochsner, a cattle producer from Kersey, Colo., 60 miles northeast of Denver. Ochsner's operation consists of 130 head of registered Limousin and Lim-Flex cows, as well as irrigated corn, alfalfa and grass hay. Ochsner and his wife, Julie, have three children.
