The first class of animals in the juniors' female show will enter the ring at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, and Jeff Sargent of Denison, Texas, will judge. The sale parade will follow at 3 p.m.

The NALF member social will start at 6 o'clock that evening in the Doubletree Hotel Denver, and it will include the 2008 Medal of Excellence (MOE) show-awards presentations. To conclude the association's 40th-anniversary year, NALF will give special recognition to its past presidents.

After the social, the annual �Genetics on Ice� auction will benefit the North American Limousin Junior Association (NALJA) and the All-American Limousin Futurity (AALF). Deer Valley Farm of Fayetteville, Tenn., has donated a flush for the third annual Corner Post Genetics Package, which will sell during the auction. All proceeds will benefit the Corner Post Fund to facilitate additional activities and scholarships for Limousin juniors. The flush of 10 embryos will come with five guaranteed pregnancies. The buyer will be able to choose one of five elite Angus donor cows the farm is offering to flush to any available Limousin or Lim Flex� artificial-insemination (AI) sire.

The NALF annual meeting will open at 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12; and President Bob Millerberg of Draper, Utah, will preside as members conduct the association's business, including the election of five directors. As part of the annual meeting, NALF staff members will offer informational breakout sessions. Also Monday, the National Limousin Sale starts at 6 p.m.

The MOE Lim-Flex� and Limousin shows begin Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 8 a.m. Jack Ward of Plattsburg, Mo., will judge those entries.

The Limousin and Lim-Flex pen and carload shows will open at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14. Mark McCully, Wooster, Ohio; Jimmy Linthicum, Welch, Okla.; and Brian Price, Garden City, Kan., will officiate. NALF will name its Limousin Commercial Producer of the Year, Limousin Commercial Marketing Booster of the Year and Limousin Promoter of the Year during the shows.
