ANGUS ASSOC. TO HOST OUTREACH SEMINAR

The American Angus Association® will conduct an Outreach Seminar in conjunction with the Florida Junior Angus Association Field Day and Show, April 12 at Southern Cattle Co., Marianna, Fla.

“Outreach Seminars allow the Association to visit with members at a more localized setting,” says Jim Shirley, Association vice president of industry relations. “We will be on hand to discuss changes and enhancements to Association programs and field questions from the members in attendance.”

The focus of the Outreach Seminar includes discussion on performance programs, marketing with the AngusSource® program, and an overview of all Association entities and any current updates. There is plenty of time for members to provide discussion and input to Association staff and directors in attendance. In addition, Association staff will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions and visit with individuals.

The Outreach Seminar will take place for the adults while the youth are tending to their activities. The Seminar will be split and take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and from 1 to 2 p.m.

All cattle must be in place along with the posters and photography projects by 11 p.m., on Friday, April 11. The Florida Junior Field Day activities begin on April 12 at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast, followed by a mandatory membership meeting of the Florida Junior Angus Association (FJAA) at 8 a.m.

Throughout the day, the youth will have the opportunity to participate in the photography and poster workshop as well as a beef cook-off and fitting demonstration. The FJAA Spring Show will begin at 3:30 p.m., and the day will conclude with a dinner, presentations of the juniors' speeches and awards program at 6:30 p.m.
