TRIPLE C FARMS DONATES HEIFER TO AMERICAN SIMMENTAL FOUNDATION

Bozeman, MT. Triple C Farms of Maple Plain, MN donated an exceptional heifer calf for the American Simmental/Simbrah Foundation. Triple C Empress T31M was sold at �The One� Volume XV Sale, January 21, in Denver. She was purchased by a consortium of breeders from Wisconsin and Arkansas for $10,000.

The Wisconsin Group includes Dr. Bob Walton, Wishing Well Simmental, Cherry Road Beef, KA Cattle and Triple C Grandchildren. The Arkansas Group includes Rolling Hills Farm, Silver Spur Cattle, R&H Simmentals, Griffin Flat, Moorse Big Creek Simmentals and Whittmore Farms. This group will maintain Empress to provide income for Wisconsin's and Arkansas' Junior Simmental Associations.

All proceeds from the heifer sale go directly to the American Simmental/Simbrah Foundation. The Foundation, established in 1994 to �stimulate and support research, education and scholarship programs,� gives over $15,000 in scholarships every year to youth merit award winners through the American Junior Simmental Association.

The American Simmental Association (ASA) is headquartered in Bozeman, Montana and maintains the breed registries for the Simmental and Simbrah breeds of cattle. ASA has an active adult and junior membership of nearly 8,000.
