NEW YORK (Feb. 4, 2009) – Pfizer Animal Health announced a new program that provides veterinarians and animal health suppliers an opportunity to support the American Association of Bovine Practitioners (AABP) and FFA. For eligible purchases of Pfizer Animal Health products, donations will be made to the Pfizer-AABP Foundation Veterinarian Scholarship Fund and/or the FFA chapter(s) of a customer's choice.
The Pfizer-AABP Foundation Scholarship helps recruit outstanding students for careers in bovine veterinary medicine. This funding provides American and Canadian veterinary students with educational opportunities and best prepares them for a future in the industry.
FFA is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. The Pfizer Animal Health program donations can assist FFA chapters with classroom materials, travel to the national convention and more. FFA teachers are also supported by a grant from Pfizer Animal Health for a National FFA Convention classroom workshop that will include cutting-edge veterinary sciences curriculum.
The donation program offer is valid on all Pfizer Animal Health purchases, excluding MGA products, made from Feb. 1 to April 15, 2009. Producers are encouraged to talk to their veterinarian or animal health supplier about Pfizer Animal Health's disease prevention and treatment products, and the opportunity to help support AABP and FFA in their communities. For more information about the program, please call 866-611-2626.
