RED ANGUS AND SIMMENTAL ASSOCIATIONS WORK TOGETHER AT CATTLE INDUSTRY CONVENTION

The Red Angus Association of America (RAAA) and the American Simmental Association (ASA) invite cattle producers to visit their joint-sponsored booth at the 2009 Cattle Industry Annual Convention and Trade Show held Jan. 28 - 31 in Phoenix, Ariz.

“Red Angus cattle are an integral element in ASA's “70:70” marketing grid which strives to produce cattle that will harvest 70 percent Choice and 70 percent Yield Grade 2,” said Clint Berry, RAAA commercial marketing director. “By joint sponsoring a booth, we will be able to explain how these aggressive marketing programs will add value to producers' calf crops and, ultimately, put more dollars back in their pockets.”

Both associations invite producers to stop by and learn how the genetics from these breeds of cattle will add efficiency and performance to feeder cattle and improve carcass quality.

Representatives from each Association will be on-hand in the booth and will have information for convention attendees to find superior genetics in their home areas.

If you are unable to attend the Cattle Industry Annual Convention, you may contact either association for more information on their marketing programs. (RAAA, 940-387-3502, redangus.org; ASA, 406-587-2778, simmgene.com).
