Phoenix, May 18, 2009 – For the past 18 years, cattlemen have trusted Farnam's New Z® No-Snag-Tags® to identify their cattle due to the superior readability and the ability to easily and effectively tag cattle. Beginning May 15, Farnam will hand over the distribution of the tags to Z Tags North America, who will manage tag sales and operations in the United States.

Farnam has collaborated since 1990 with Zee Tags Ltd. to bring innovation to the cattle tagging industry starting with the one-piece “no snag” tags, and the unique “break-away” applicators. This applicator solves the problem of ears tearing during application. The precision of the application has also provided superior healing and allowed for better retention of the tags. Farnam has given cattlemen improved visibility options with the tags, by the use of lasers, and other equipment, to create darker, longer-lasting and more readable tags. This allows for unlimited marking opportunities including numbers, logos, brands and barcodes.

Farnam established the manufacture of the tags in the US. Z Tags North America will utilize the same US manufacturing facility to supply the same high quality tags that the ranchers and dairymen have come to expect. A new Phoenix-based office for Z Tags North America has been opened, and it is to be staffed by the people who have successfully managed the sales and marketing of these tags for Farnam over the last several years.

During the transition period, Farnam and Z Tags North America will work closely with customers to insure that all tag orders meet customer requirements for both quality and delivery.
