DENVER, Colo., (August 4, 2011) - North American Limousin Junior Association (NALJA) members did not "horse around" at the National Junior Limousin Show and Congress (NJLS&C) - July 9-15 in Amarillo, Texas - in their effort to raise funds for the organization.

The July 15 awards banquet included the auction of HX Simply Red ("Puckerman"), a stud colt donated by NALJA member Kendall Harsh, 19, and her parents, Kim and Sherrill, of Crescent, Okla. The American Quarter Horse yearling is a son of Paddy's Pay Day out of one of the Harsh's top mares. Phyllis Payne of Amarillo purchased him for $2,000. Besides being an equine enthusiast, Payne is general manager of the Ambassador Hotel, which served as the headquarters for this year's NJLS&C.
