The Magnolia Classic Santa Gertrudis Sale was held April 25th in Terry, Miss. A great group of consignors came together and offered an outstanding set of Santa Gertrudis cattle. Sale host for the sale were Andy and Donna Fullington, owners of Fullington Farms, along with Delmo and Wilmuth Payne, owners of Grandview Farms. The sale grossed $93,950 on 41 lots to average $2,291. Pairs averaged $3,220 on 5 lots. 3N1s averaged $2,642 on 14 lots. Bred heifers averaged $1,993 on 14 lots. Open heifers averaged $1,644 on 8 lots. Top selling 3n1 was lot 2 — an ‘06 female with heifer calf at side, consigned by Grandview/Fullington LLP that sold for $5,100 to Wayne Jeringan. Top selling pair was lot 44 — an ‘07 female consigned by 4B Cattle Company that sold for $5,100 to Curtis Hundnell. Sale consultant for the sale was Darren Richmond.
