Salacoa Valley Farms

The Salacoa Valley Farms Plenty Of Class Registered Brangus Female Sale was held June 13th at the ranch in Fairmount, Ga. Owners David and Susan Vaughan and ranch manager Ben Spitzer, along with guest consignors offered and excellent set of Brangus Females. The sale grossed $155,450 on 78 lots to average $1,992. One flush sold for $10,500. Donor cows grossed $14,000 on 4 lots to average $3,500. Pairs grossed $52,300 on 29 lots to average $1,803. Bred heifers grossed $57,850 on 32 lots to average $1,807. Bred cows grossed $9,750 on 6 lots to average $1,625. Open heifers grossed $11,050 on 6 lots to average $1,841. Topping the sale was lot 1, a pick of Salacoa Valley herd flush, with buyer’s option on sire selection, sold for $10,500 to Santa Rosa Brangus Ranch, Kent Smith in Navasota, Texas. Sale manager was John and Debbie Maurer of Maurer Sales Company. I had a great time representing CATTLE TODAY and helping ringside. David and Susan always provide great Southern hospitality.
