Sale sponsor Bill May owner of May & Son Charolais along with guest consigners offered an outstanding set of Charolais cattle. The sale grossed $136,050. Live cattle grossed $134,200 on 64 lots to average $2,097. Bulls grossed $14,450 on 6 lots to average $2,408. Pairs grossed $36,600 on 18 lots to average $2,033. Cows/ Bull calf splits grossed $12,000 on 5 lots to average $2,400. Cows/ heifer calf splits grossed 15,600 on 6 lots to average $2,600. Bred cows grossed $20,650 on 9 lots to average $2,295. Bred heifers grossed $21,150 on11 lots to average $1,922. Open heifers grossed $13,750 on 9 lots to average $1,528. Embryos grossed $650 on 2 lots to average $325. Semen grossed $1,200. Top bred cow was lot 65 LOF MISS LAUREN’S LAURALYNN 73T, sired by JDJ Smokerster J1377, consigned by Lone Oak Farms in Bedford, Virginia, sold for $5,400 to Bruce Roy in Louisiana. Top selling bull was lot 1 MAY SABLER 9628, a 9-17-09 bull sired by CJC Mr. President T122, sold for $3,500 to Bruce Roy in Louisiana. Sale manager was Dennis Adams with Outfront Cattle Service. Glenn Crumpler president of Cattle For Christ International Inc offered an outstanding set of Angus females. The sale grossed $288,250 on 90 lots to average $3,202. Proceeds from the sale went to Cattle For Christ to support their mission work both here and around the world. Top Fall Pair was lot 62- grossed $4,400, Southern Lady 75073 a 9-9-07 bred female, sired by GAR Predestined, bred to Lincrest Emblazon, sold for $3,000 to Lee Leachman in Wellington, Colorado, heifer calf born 9-19-10, sired by Southern Predestined 75057 sold for $1,400 to Southern Cattle Company in Marianna, Florida. Top selling bull was lot 93 Cattleforchrist 9033 of OT26, a 11-29-09 son of SS Objective T510 OT26, sold for $3,500 to Lamar Weeks in Jefferson, Georgia.
