Cattle For Christ Moving ‘Em Out For Mission Cattle Sale Report

Cattle For Christ Moving ‘Em Out For Mission Cattle Sale was held September 5th at the Coffee County Stockyard in New Brockton, Alabama.  Glenn Crumpler president of Cattle For Christ International Inc offered an outstanding set of Angus females.  The sale grossed $288,250 on 90 lots to average $3,202.  Proceeds from the sale went to Cattle For Christ to support their mission work both here and around the world.  Top Fall Pair was lot 62- grossed $4,400, Southern Lady 75073 a 9-9-07 bred female, sired by GAR Predestined, bred to Lincrest Emblazon, sold for $3,000 to Lee Leachman in Wellington, Colorado, heifer calf born 9-19-10, sired by Southern Predestined 75057 sold for $1,400 to Southern Cattle Company in Marianna, Florida.  Top selling bull was lot 93 Cattleforchrist 9033 of OT26, a 11-29-09 son of SS Objective T510 OT26, sold for $3,500 to Lamar Weeks in Jefferson, Georgia.

Southeast Brangus Breeders Association Showcase Sale Report

Southeast Brangus Breeders Association Showcase Sale was held August 27th at the Covington Arena in Andalusia, AL.  Sale manager Doug Williams and sale chairman Fred McCreary brought a great group of Brangus breeders together and offered an outstanding set of Brangus cattle.

The sale grossed $101,750 on 52 lots to average $1,957.

High selling open heifer was lot 49 L&W Miss Leadgun 389Y, consigned by L&W Cattle in Mocksville, NC., and sold for $3,100 to Shelby Marsh in Greensboro AL.

High selling bred heifers was lot 11 CNF Miss Isaac 77W16, consigned by Char-No Farms in Williamson, GA., and sold for $2,600 to Richard Greuel in Fayetteville, GA.  Lot 56 MF Miss Jesse 174X2 consigned by McCreary Farms in Evergreen, AL., and sold for $2,600 to James Bradley in Hartselle, AL.

High selling 3-n-1 was lot 5 BWCC 487Y, consigned by Blackwater Cattle Company in Lake Park, GA., sold for $5,600 to Enzor Brangus in Frisco City, AL.

High selling bred cow was lot 42 Miss KC Sundance, consigned by KC Farms in Sale Creek, TN., and sold for $2,400 to Larry Stricklin in Brantley, AL.

Herd builder Sale August 26, 2011

The 2011 13th Annual Herd Builder Replacement Female Sale was held August 26th in Uniontown, Alabama. Kevan Tucker ACES County Coordinator brought this group on consignors together to offer a great set of replacement females.

The sale grossed $328,800 on 236 lots to average $1,393.

Bred heifers grossed $308,525 on 215 lots to average $1,435.

Open heifers grossed $20,475 on 21 lots to average $975.

I had a great time helping ringside and visiting with this group of cattlemen.
