			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Appalachian Classic Charolais Sale </strong>was held April 23<sup>rd</sup> at the Knoxville Livestock Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.  Sale sponsor was the <strong>Mountain Empire Charolais Association</strong>.  Sale manager <strong>Dennis Adams</strong> with <strong>Outfront Cattle Services</strong> brought a select group of consigners together and offered an outstanding set of Charolais females and bulls.</p>
<p>The sale grossed $96,415.</p>
<p>Bulls grossed $14,950 on 7 lots to average $2,136.</p>
<p>Pairs grossed $14,700 on 8 lots to average $1,838.</p>
<p>Cows with bull calf splits grossed $17,500 on 5 lots to average $3,430.</p>
<p>Cows with heifer calf splits grossed $9,550 on 3 lots to average $3,183.</p>
<p>Bred cows grossed $11,800 on 5 lots to average $2,360.</p>
<p>Bred heifers grossed $16,050 on 9 lots to average $1,783.</p>
<p>Open heifers grossed $8,900 on 7 lots to average $1,271.</p>
<p>Top selling lot was lot 35 Cow with bull calf split consigned by Wayne Bennett owner of Oak Hill Farm. Cow a W. SPUR X DO29 sold for $4,000 to Norberto Lopez in Zapata, Texas. Bull calf sired by OHF Ali Mark Again sold for $1,950 to Billy May in Jefferson City, Tennessee.  I had a great time helping ringside.</p>

Sale manager <strong>Dennis Adams </strong>with <strong>Outfront Cattle Services </strong>brought a great group of consigners together and offered a outstanding set of Charolais cattle.</p>
<p>The sale grossed $81,100 on 39 lots to averaged $2,079.</p>
<p>Bulls grossed $22,800 on 11 lots to average $2,073.</p>
<p>Cows with heifer calf splits grossed $10,350 on 2 lots to average $5,175.</p>
<p>Cows with bull calf splits grossed $11,200 on 3 lots to average $3,733.</p>
<p>Pairs grossed $14,500 on 8 lots to average $1,813.</p>
<p>Bred cows grossed $6,300 on 4 lots to average $1,575.</p>
<p>Bred heifers grossed $8,900 on 6 lots to average $1,483.</p>
<p>Open heifers grossed $7,050 on 5 lots to average $1,410.</p>
<p>Commercial heifers grossed $4,000 on 5 lots to average $800.</p>
<p>Semen grossed 2,250 on 70 lots to average $32.</p>
<p>Embryos grossed $1,750 on 8 lots to average $219.</p>
<p>Flushes grossed $3,000 on 2 lots to average $1,500.</p>
<p>Top selling female was lot 26 OHF MISS WEST GRID H920 P with heifer calf consigned by Oak Hills Farms from Dawsonville, GA., cow sold to Hale Farms in Louisburg, MO. For $2,750 and heifer calf sold to Buzhardt Farms in Batesburg, SC for $2,500.</p>
<p>Top selling bull was lot 15 BF President 91 ET a 11-09 consigned by Donald Backer from Reevesville, SC., sold to Double K Charolais in York, SC., for $3,300.</p>

<strong>Randy Crowell</strong> and family owners of <strong>Plantation Farms </strong>offered and outstanding set of Angus cattle.<br />
The sale grossed $162,025 on 55 lots to average $2,945.<br />
The bulls grossed $6,700 on 2 lots to average $3,350.<br />
Females grossed $155,325 on 53 lots to average $2,930.<br />
Top selling bull was lot 46 PLANTATION RETAIL 2934 a 9-16-09 son of GAR RETAIL PRODUCT sold to Brad Cooper Potts in Camp, MS for $3,500.  Top Fall pair was lot 21 PLANTATION RITA 7136 with a bull calf out of STIZ UPWARD 307R, the cow bred back to TC TOTAL 410<br />
sold for $3,900 to Rock Haven Angus in Lewisburg, TN., the 9-25-10 calf sold for $3,400 to Joe Williams in Newton, AL.</p>

<p>Angus grossed $40,500 on 18 lots to averaged $2,250. </p>
<p>Simmental grossed $26,550 on 9 lots to averaged $2,950. </p>
<p>SimAngus grossed $14,100 on 5 lots to averaged $2,820. </p>
<p>Open heifers grossed $38,745 on 41 lots to average $945. </p>

<p>Sale managers <strong>Patrick Simmons</strong> and <strong>Doug Williams</strong> brought a great group of Brangus breeders together and offered a strong set of Brangus bulls. </p>
<p>Brangus bulls grossed $165,850 on 60 lots to average $2,764.  Topping the sale was lot 46 – L&amp;W 535P23/956W2 a 3-12-09 son of SVF MR 535P23, consigned by <strong>L&amp;W Cattle</strong> in Mocksville, North Carolina and sold to <strong>Danny </strong>&amp;<strong> Cricket Mount</strong> owners of <strong>Mount Farm</strong> in Rutledge, Alabama for $5,000.  I had a great time helping ringside.</p>

<p>Adams Ranch 32<sup>nd</sup> Annual Crossed Seven Production Sale</p>
<p>was held November 11<sup>th</sup> at the ranch in Fort Pierce, FL. </strong></p>
<p>The <strong>Adams </strong>family and ranch crew offered a strong set of Braford influence bulls and females. </p>
<p>Bulls averaged $1,965.  Bred heifers averaged $1,178.  Open yearling heifers<strong> </strong>averaged $700. </p>
<p>It is always a great opportunity to be part of the Adams Ranch Sale.  I had a great time working with the Adams family and ranch crew while helping ringside. </p>

Sale host <strong>David </strong>and<strong> Susan Vaughan </strong>owners of <strong>Salacoa Valley Farms</strong> along with <strong>Bert Miller </strong>and<strong> Doyle Miller </strong>owners of <strong>Miller Brangus </strong>offered an outstanding set of Brangus bulls. </p>
<p>The sale grossed $200,000 on 90 coming two year old bulls to average $2,200. </p>
<p>Top selling bull was lot 3- MB Real Deal 329W6 from Miller Brangus, sold to GLB Farms in Monticello Mississippi for $8,500.  Second high selling bull was lot 7- SVF Catawba 44W026 from Salacoa Valley Farm sold to Circle S Farm in Monticello, Georgia for $5,000. </p>

<p>The sale grossed $122,075 on 71 lots to average $1,719.  Bulls grossed $13,650 on 8 lots to average $1,706.  Pairs grossed $25,200 on 13 lots to average $1,938.  Cow/heifer splits grossed $17,500 on 7 lots to average $2,500.  Cows/bull splits grossed $12,800 on 5 lots to average $2,560.  Bred cows grossed $21,725 on 13 lots to Average $1,671.  Bred heifers grossed $27,800 on 21 lots to average $1,324.  Open heifers grossed $3,400 on 4 lots to average $850.  Topping the sale was lot 57 a bred cow sired by Duke 914 consigned by Oak Hill Farms in Dawsonville, GA sold for $4,200 to Lori Weaver in Glasgow, KY.  Second high selling was lot 42 cow heifer calf split, cow sired by CCR Jackpot, Heifer calf sired by JDJ Smokester consigned by Welcome Grove Charolais sold for $4,050 to Roy Carnell Family Farm in Saltillo, Mississippi. </p>

<p><strong>John Harvey</strong> ranch owner along with ranch manager <strong>John White</strong> offered an outstanding set of Angus cattle. </p>
<p>The sale grossed $193,175 on 75 lots to average $2,575.  Top selling bull was lot 70 Harvey Blueprint 829 sold for $3,750 to Bozemen Joint Venture in Flora, Alabama.  Top bred heifer was lot 1 Lauras Total Classic 838 sold for $7,000 to BOBO Farms in Ardmore, Alabama.  Top pregnancy lot AA out of WCLC Southern Blackcap 75129 sold for $6,000 to BOBO Farms in Ardmore, Alabama. </p>
<p>Sale manager was <strong>Jarvene </strong>and<strong> Pat Shackelford</strong> with <strong>American Livestock Brokers</strong>.  I had a great time helping ringside at the sale.</p>
