Looking for a salvage skid steer

Postby Hook2.0 » Wed Sep 27, 2017 2:20 pm

Buddy has an asv positrack md70 skid steer that broke the drive gear. We've found the part number, but it's no longer being made by anyone. Now he's looking for a salvage one that he can pull the gear off of. What companies are a good place to look? We've both looked and called all around the internet and can't locate it.
This is the part needed. http://trackloaderparts.com/asv-md70-14 ... -14-a.aspx

Thanks

Might look at some equipment forums, I'd start on facebook groups and see where they lead me

Any chance of having a machining company make one?

This
With the new computer automated equipment now available on a somewhat smaller scale. You can get parts made sometimes surprisingly affordable if you find the right shop.

My CAT has ASV finals, and I have a spare, but it's probably too big for the ASV 70. Try Crowe. Not likely that they will have it, but might be able to point you in the right direction. CAT stocks all the parts to rebuild the ASV parts that are on their machines. Can you find out if it crosses?

Loader Parts Source in Elkhart, IN has come through with some hard to find parts for me in the past.

I have had good luck with this place on old tractors. They also part out skidsteers from what I saw...might be worth checking out https://www.wengers.com/wholegoods/
