New to me John Deere 335 mower......

Postby jltrent » Wed Oct 18, 2017 11:30 am

Anybody have one like this and had any luck with it. I recently bought it at an auction for $800 with 600 hrs. on the ticker. I barely got it loaded as it ran like crap. (put a $32 carb kit in fixed that.) From looking at it: new seat, blades, plugs, battery, OEM air filter, OEM Ignition Module plus other parts, over $400 upgrades plus labor the seller had just invested in it. I mowed four acres with it yesterday (no oil usuage), 20 horse Kawasaki 54" deck, power steering, hydro deck lift, cruse, seat and steering wheel adjusters, electric deck engagement, heavy duty k70 garden tractor transmission, more. I guess the previous owner just couldn't get it to run right, probably ethanol gas left in it to long.

You got a really good buy. My dad buys and sells mowers all the time mostly John Deere's and he has had a few of them, there good mowers.
