Pro Team Machinery sale Saturday...

Postby jltrent » Thu Aug 02, 2018 11:57 am

I know several here are close there and I maybe going also. They usually have a pretty good sale. Just off I81 just south of Morristown Tennessee and probably 30 minutes east of Knoxville, Tennessee.

I wish I had the $$ to go. Need lots, but other things like college educations take priority for me. By the way, wife has 18 acres of prime land with a creek for sale about 1/2 miles from the auction if anyone is looking for a small farm.

Pay attention to the baler and let me know what it brings. I have one just like it same year and all. Mine only has had 1550 rolls rolled. Mine has the most expensive monitor

My thoughts only, don't bet the farm on them. KT

I was there today and looked the baler over pretty good. It looks to be a very nice baler and it has the gauges on the back to tell about bale shape so I would say it has the good monitor. Kenny if I don't go will try to follow on the internet the price.

I didn't think about watching on the internet. I really don't have the time to go over there and spend the time for the auction, but I am curious to see what those skid steers bring.

99.999999999999% of the time I don't buy just go to look as it does not take much money to look or follow on the internet if I have the time. My wife graduated from WSCC and Carson Newman those are local around there and both good and my son has taken two classes at WSCC this summer. Land in that area is selling good so maybe you can sell the land soon.

I hope so, it is good land, but she has it priced accordingly.

I registered for the sale online and put a cheap bid in on a 65 x 30 x 15. hoop shed kit. They normally go for 4.5 to 6 k. If I were to pick it up for under 1,000 I thought I would use it as an additional hay storage area. I would really like one of the skid steers, but I am just not in a position for that purchase right now.

The 555D backhoe would look mighty good on my place, that'd be a handy sucker.

Straight shot down I81, probably 5 1/2-6 hour drive on a good day or less. I bet it goes for a deal. I walked by it and looked from appearance above average. I know that does not mean much though.

The little Ford 3000 I drove and tried out. It started right up, PS worked good, brakes worked good, has hydraulics, nice for the year model. A couple chainsaws I will make sure nobody buys too cheap if I go.

The hoe should bring 10k or more, from the looks of it. Replacing my farm truck has eaten up all my fun money for awhile, otherwise I'd be tempted to join y'all.

I stopped by this afternoon. They had more farm equipment than is listed. Some in good shape and some that was pretty rough. They also had a Tartar Squeeze Chute, a few livestock trailers, and several tractors they had a New Holand that only has 571 hours on it and it looked almost new.

The Baler brought $12,100 plus 10% buyers premium. Very nice baler as if it had brought less would like to have sold mine and replaced with this one as a lot less bales on the ticker.

The hoe brought $14,000 plus 10% buyers premium.

I went to the sale and bid on a small tractor, but taking the buyers premium in consideration it brought $100 more than my highest bid and with the buyers premium adds up. I thought things sold well and there was a good crowd.

Thank you for letting me know what the backhoe brought, that was a pretty good chunk of change all things considered.

Auctions that charge a buyer's premium really get under my skin, I try to avoid buying anything from them on principle.
