yes but compared to straight jersey I did fine. The small angus calves were going for 1.55-1.65. My market report is not showing that but I witnessed it. My operation does not pay to have a heifer bull for how many heifers I run. I have a few more heifers ro breed and those should be the last for a few years. 15 cows max pays for about 1 herd sire bull. Drought year herd goes to 10 cows. Only so many you can run on 100 acres. My heifers were not bred all at the same time. I can live with what I got. Not at all displeased. Got 1.15 and 1.35 for my 350 and a 500 lb. AI'd angus steers last month.
