Price range results

Postby Hunter » Mon Nov 20, 2017 8:22 am

Would it concern anyone that when you look at results from sale barn and the prices you got are not in the stated range?
Example. 300-400 lb heifers 135-155 but the price you received was 129.

Do sale barns routinely do this so their prices look good relative to others?

These were not my cattle but I did see the sales receipt.

First number is average
Second number is high.
Extreme outlier's... defects , cripple's etc. Don't get figured in average.

I'm sure the 1.29 was figured in . It was just below average.
