Type of grass

Post by Tomcolvin » Tue Sep 11, 2018 6:04 pm

I want to plant a good grassing grass on 18 acres for pasture next year. It has been a field planted for years in row crops. What type of grass would be good for me to plant?

Lot of members from your neck of the woods that could give good advice .

Look up your local Ag. School. Georgia Tech is the only school of which I know and I don't think it's an A&M. I have seen articles on Ag. subjects from there (Georgia) but forget the sources.....they are out there. Talking with locals surely doesn't hurt. Maybe a drive by of a pasture you see and like, go in and talk to the owner as Caustic and Tom indicated.
