Need a farrier in south Texas

Postby A6gal » Tue Sep 27, 2005 1:14 pm

I'm in need of a good farrier in the S. Texas area (Medina or Frio County). I know a couple that do it in their spare time but it's hard to pin anyone down. They say they'll come out but never show up. I'm thinking someone that does it for a living would be more reliable.

Need a farrier

Avery,
I'm learnin' what ya mean. I've asked at the feed stores and friends who rodeo or who have kids who rodeo and all have the same story, "good luck findin a good one". One friend told me she loads her horses and takes them to a farrier 70+ miles away. Looks like all the good ones around here have retired or moved away.

Actually the town of Medina, but I heard he travels pretty far to work, I think he goes down to the king ranch sometimes, and as far as Charlotte.
