Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a good transportation company? I have a donkey & pony that someone wants to buy, but they live in California? I live in Tennessee. Any help?
Thanks,
Candice

That's a long haul! A livestock hauler (unless he/she's trying to fill up a trailer with some extras) will probably charge between $2.50 and $3.50 a loaded one-way mile for a special haul. Unless the animals are fairly expensive, the haul charge could equal or exceed the sale price of the animals.

Myself and friends have used Equine Express. They hauled a horse from KY to Texas for me. I was very pleased with the service.

They haul coast to coast.

I used Blackshire Equine Transport, they're based in Minnesota but do haul coast to coast. I used them to bring a horse from southern Illinois to Montana - he arrived in terrific shape , no problems.
