New From NE Texas

Postby Baymule » Sun Sep 03, 2017 2:21 pm

Hi, we are on 8 acres north of Tyler, Texas. I've had cattle, I like cattle, by no means am I some cattle guru, and I didn't feel like 8 acres was enough for cattle, so we have hair sheep. We have been clearing walls of green briars up to 20' tall that were so thick, dead trees from the 2011 drought couldn't fall down. We have reclaimed several acres and I have researched grasses, forbs and pastures half to death. I am reading the pasture forum and have found lots of good information. Thank ya'll for having such a great forum.

Welcome. It sounds like you have a pretty good handle on things.
