New To The Board

Postby BentCreekFarm » Fri Feb 10, 2006 11:39 am

Howdy Folks,
I am new to this board but not a newbie to farming/cattle etc.
I am 44 years old and was raised up on the family farm. Now I have my own "family" farm and continuing the tradition.
However, I am new to a lot of new technology and tried and true techniques in the cattle business. So there is where all you people can and will be a lot of help. Cattle is not my main source of income but a bit of supplemental income if I do it right. And of course if all the variables do they're part right?????
Poultry is my mainstay and it works well with cattle too.
I am looking forward to learning a lot and talking to a lot of a great people. I have been watching/learning from the sidelines of this board for several months now and have read a wealth of info.
Thanks to all!!!!!

Welcome aboard, Bent. I beat you by a couple of days, but like you have been reading posts here for a couple of months. Had so much fun reading them, I decided to join in and shoot my mouth off once in awhile. Good luck. :D :D

Welcome

Just be ready for trouble if you ever talk about feeding that chicken litter to your cattle. :D It was discussed here a while back. Do a search and you'll see what I mean.

Thanks for the warm Welcome.
Farmhand, I read the repercussions of feeding chicken litter to cattle. Even before I read that I would not even consider it.

Women and cats are going to do what they want, men and dogs would be wise to accept this.
