Wanted to say hi, and post some pics

Postby deaconcreek » Wed Feb 22, 2006 7:41 am

Hi all. I'm new the board and to this breeding thing. Just thought I would introduce myself and see what everyone thought of the stock we are starting with. We have 3 cows, 2 heifers and our new bull we bought last spring. Here are some pictures from spring 05. This board is wonderful, such a wealth of information, thanks to all.

Hope this is a good start for us, rest of calves due in a few weeks, I can't wait, since we lost our first one, looking forward to a healthy one.

The bull is 18 months in this picture. I posted sping of 05, these pictures are from late July 05, sorry. He has a great personality. Hopefully he throws calves as good as his EPD's estimate. All that green stuff is what keeps us going. Our cows get fat on grass. We farm 50 acres and grass in our main crop. Good grass is the only thing nice about living in the north.

I never trust anyone who says that they are too old to read a children's book.
