Gidday

Hi, I have been reading the plights of all on this site for the past 12months now and thought it about time to jump on board myself.
The above photo ( 4 mth old calf ) is a second generation of the cattle that I have been trying to breed and I am very pleased with the result. I only have a few cattle but as someone on this site once put it "When you have live ones you get dead ones" and it has been a tremendous learning experience all the way.I also breed a few "GreyMan" cattle as well ( murray grey sire over brahman dams ). I confess that at this time I am a Hobby breeder taking on the challenge for the Love Not Money, and my aim is purely to breed Quality not Quanity, having a very supportive life partner who affords me this opportunity.

Thankyou to everyone who clicked into my posting for the words of encouragement and welcome.
What did I do wrong with the second photo that I posted for it to arrive from "Photobucket" so BIG compared to the first one  .
I recently had The Murray Grey Sire that I use for my Greyman calves DNA tested and it has come back with a " 4 Star " Tenderness rating but 0 Marbling factor.
Do you find much use for such tests within your cattle enterprises ?
