I am sorry don't want to leave any one out, I like all cattle and horses. My daughter is in FFA in a small town and the judges seem to pick black angus over anything else. It seems if you want to win they need to be black angus or black angus cross. My daughter and I are just learning about this only been in it for 3 1/2 years now. So much to learn. So please I will talk to all of you I am sorry if I hurt any ones feelings didn't mean too. About 10 years ago I raised two herfords So we are just learning.

Been reading these pages for a few days, and thought I'd join in
Call me a hobby farmer if you like, but I like rare breeds, started with a few belted Galloways,
I guess all you old pros will laugh, but hey, you may need our bloodlines one day!

Thanks Ryan,
We're just starting out, had small farms before in Europe, moving to Canada in 2004 was our first chance to do it seriously.
We must be crazy, farming has never been so depressed, at least in PEI, but at least land is (relatively) cheap
Most people take the easy option and head west to the oilpatch for $$$$

Heritage farmer - is the red/white belted a Galloway? To produce strawberry oreo cow, HOW DO YOU GET THERE? A genetic roadmap, or was it just luck?
