New to Cattle Today.

Postby K-SHIRES » Sat Mar 11, 2006 8:01 am

Howdy Pardner! Hail from WI. , worked Montana ranches in my youth, hauled tractors and machinery outta Iowa& Minnesota, fixed a few, sold a few, then went farming , ended up with a wife and 3 boys and a whole passel of critters and too many acres to farm it all right. Guess that sums it up. I hope I can learn from Y'all. Cheers, K-Shires.

REspond

Postby K-SHIRES » Sat Mar 11, 2006 8:46 am

Our core operation is a grazing dairy herd, multiple breeds & crossbreeds. Raise dairy steers, hogs, broilers, turkeys . Had angus herd in past. Waiting for market downturn to start cow-calf herd again. Too pricey for me to jump in that one right now.
Cheers.

Born2run - Ibeleive you are Barron County? We are 120 miles north of you. We get stuff from Anderson Dairy supply in Rice lake. Yes, there are dairy farmers on this website, too. K-Shires.
