Hello to this community!

Postby OK Jeanne » Wed Mar 15, 2006 9:34 pm

I've been lurking for awhile - just made one post previously
regarding direct-marketing beef.
Our farm is in SW Okla - where we have had the driest
winter since 1921....but are hoping for rain this weekend.

We raise purebred and cross Murray Greys - and sell
seedstock, semen, embryos, and direct-market beef.
We are beginning our spring calving now--my favorite
time of year! Tomorrow some of the newcomers will
get ear tags.

It's great that the internet enables us to trade ideas &
visit with folks from all over - and this looks like a very
interesting and entertaining group!
Regards,
OK Jeanne

Thanks for the greetings!

Hello all and thanks for the kind greetings! Yes, it's Carole.
But I have always used my middle name when "surfing the
net".

Busy, busy day: first set of weaning shots for the fall 05
calves.

The weather people have almost guaranteed rain this weekend;
I think they may be hung from a high limb if they are wrong.

Murray Grey's are an excellent breed, Dave. They have only one problem - they haven't been promoted like they should be. ;-)

Welcome, I joined recently and am in SW Okla also. Viewed your website and you have some nice pics of your herd. I raise Angus and have about 15 registered animals, about 1/3 of my herd. Anyway, welcome, and hope you get more rain soon.
