Feeding

Any opinions on going from feeding hay in rings to grinding and feeding all out of bunks?

I would do it in a heartbeat, if I had the equipment. I know grinding would save on waste, I'm not sure if the saved waste would pay for the equipment.

I don't grind and feed in bunks but do feed through head locks. No special equipment needed other than the locks and a bale spear. Very close to zero waste. I have 3 rings, haven't used them in years.
