Whiteflies

Postby Jogeephus » Wed Sep 03, 2014 3:21 pm

Anyone have a good way to deal with them? Am eat up with them in the garden. And no, its not organic so I don't plan on taking a sponge and bathing each plants leaf with insecticidal soap or some herbal concoction. I want something that will kill them dead and keep killing them. Something that will make them scream and writhe in agony. FWIW, I have the B-Biotype fly.

IIRC I have always used 15% seven dust. they are very active this time of the year and prefer turnips and mustard

Sevin dust has kept them at bay here. Wet te leaves first or do it when the morning dew is on them.

If you want a paper copy of this let me know, I'll see if I can get one to you.
Centric is rated a 8 and it's very safe.
Intruder is a 9. I don't know much about it.

Thanks Jed. That looks like a heck of a book. I keep Centric and Intruder mind to try if what I tried don't work. One of them looked like a growth regulator type which I think I may have to use to stop this infestation in conjunction with what sprayed. I sprayed some Fanfare (bifenthrin) today and hopefully it will knock the adults back. These things are terrible this year.

We use a lot of bifenthrin in cotton.
