snapper looks to me.

People don't believe me, but I used to catch fish like that and bigger every day almost. Catch them till I would just get tired of pulling them in. Mangrove snapper, mutton snapper, langusta, jacks and grouper too.
2 years in Guantanamo Bay just about ruined me for fishing anywhere else...

Mostly red snapper. There was one mangrove in there.

You got that right. I'd rather be fishing than a lot of things. Glad you had a good day, CB. Hope the Galveston trip is even better.

I had two first timers with me yesterday and they had a wonderful time. DIL said she wanted to catch a shark, so one of the hookups I handed her the rod. Didn't take long for her to bail out and hand the rod off. I found out yesterday just how bad of shape I really am.

GB,

Are Jacks the same as Jack Crevalle?
I heard those are fun to catch.
