Whos got one? Whats your thoughts on it? I have a 16 ft trailer for sale and a fella wants to trade me a bolt action for it.

Just another gimmick to sell guns, off the shelf ammo is hard to come by. It's hard if not impossible to beat a 30-06.

Yep and if you want it in short action make it 308 same bullet on both.
Secondly the 308 ammo is now more popular due to the round being available in AR15 platform.

Ok thanks for the feed back. If I did trade how hard would it be to resell? I looked up the ammo today... :shock:

Tough I don't know the ammo will be here commercial in 10 years.
The 300 WSM captured the short action market.
It's a marketing game Winchester won this round.
Remington won in the 7mm

Some elk hunters fell for the new magnum marketing years back. I walked into a western Nebraska gun shop and they had half a dozen lightly used 375s that they had taken in trade. Should have grabbed one...
