.22 shorts

Postby BRYANT » Sat Aug 12, 2017 5:30 pm

I was almost out o .22 shorts so I bought some .22 LR quiets ,because shorts are hard to find,
has any one used them they are 40gr and shoot 720 feet per sec. Walmart sell them for 3.40 a box of 50
shorts are 27gr and shoot 750 feet per sec I just found some of them for almost 10.00 per 100 round box
what would be best , I use them when trapping in and around metro areas when I need something that does not make much noise and shoot squirrels with them sometimes depending on where I am at.

I like them for trapping, in a single shot. I hate when I load the 10/22 magazine with them without realizing. :D

Not sure where they came from but have a box of the longs. They are pretty quite. Not sure what your using but they will probably cycle better if it's not single shot.

My thoughts only, don't bet the farm on them. KT

Some people know people, who know people, who aren't very nice people and you could get a visit from them someday. So be good people.

One time the trapping partner shot a coyote with a CB cap it ricocheted of its head and darn near hit me. Bothered me a lot more than the coyote.
