Don't hunt rattlesnakes from a public road in Texas.

Also, do not post pictures of poisonous snakes you kill on social media. Enjoy the pleasure and satisfaction alone, not in the company of others.

I thought (in Texas anyway) it has always been illegal to hunt anything from a public road

Wonder if that means picking up road kill is illegal also?

The laws I'm familiar with about hunting on or along side of a roadway always involved a firearm. This article has no mention of a firearm being used and this is why it's new to me.

Seriously, would they fuss if you picked up a rattler that had been run over? Maybe for the hide or just the rattles.
