Good looking dog Hook, I hope you get him
I will add if you don't get him and want a dog and save yourself some grief get a cattle bred border collie
Get one from someone that uses dogs on there own cattle and not just a breeder.
Imo they are the best especially for someone that hasn't trained a cowdog before, they have enough smarts and instinct they don't require much training

Keep us posted on how he works out. I love the idea of a herd dog. Scared I'd ruin him.

I don't think you can ruin a queensland. They are what they are.
I always like seeing a tail on a queensland.

He hunts with dogs, and they used to show the acd's. But now they are older and not showing anymore. They don't even own cattle but have worked their dogs on sheep before to see what they were capable of. This one they didn't try on anything because they stopped and he became a house dog. I know the guy in a round about way, he knows my purpose, and said they would take him back if he didn't work out. They're only getting rid of him because they have 5 inside dogs. Not counting their hunting pack.
We will see I guess.

Very pretty dog. I love the long tails. I wish people would not cut them off. Their tails are so pretty and full. I saw one that had heavy spots on his tail and it made rings all the way around his tail like a raccoon. It was so neat looking. I wish I could find the picture again.

The dog went back to the man I got him from. He never settled in and was aggressive to my wife and kids. I almost shot the dog but I promised if he didn't work out I would bring him back. We all knew it was a gamble on a 4 year old. We got a red heeler puppy now. 9 weeks old.
