Often at this stage the top of the pin irritates them as the muscle falls away a bit. You will probably see a bubble over it at the top of his hip. They usually do pretty well when it comes out but for now they have to put up with it.

Vet had to cut the top of the pin off last week cause he was afraid it was going to break the skin. That irritated him for a while but it's not as swelled now and seams to be healing better.
