Re: Can This Be the Same Dog?

I remember it now. I lost track of that post as I do many that I start myself. I am such a dead-head!!

I noticed that you and Miss Lacey are hitched, as she has a ring on her tail. :lol2:
I love that ring.
She is absolutely adorable. I love her face. She looks like a little boy I have coming. I did get a puppy as I thought I would be able to teach him not to chase the cows, chickens and cats if I started out early. I have had two dogs to get injured by kicking animals.

I had one Jack Russell when I was riding horses, that when I got on the horse, she thought I was trying to take the horse down by crawling on top of it. So as I put my foot in the stirrup and started pulling myself up, the dog would start grabbing it's legs. I like to have never got the dog to understand that I was just going to sit on the horse, and not eat it.
That was Porky and she was a real sweetie.

kucala5, It so easy to love something that loves back and doesn't fuss at you. They always have those bright shining eyes waiting for you when you get home and they wiggle all over. I love to hug on them when I come back in the house as they are so glad to see us as we are glad to see them.

Deborah is a dear friend that lives outside of Nashville. She raises Jack Russells. I got Abbey and will be getting Chewy from her.

You know I will find everything that Chewy does amazing; and will think he is the cutest thing going. I am sure you all will think that I can't get anything done for watching him. :lol2:

I love to look at pictures of Jack Russell's because they have the cutest faces, and I think they are amazing. I would love to see more pictures of all of the Jack Russell's that everyone owns. I don't care if you have posted their picture before, post some more. I really enjoyed looking at Miss Lacey's pictures.

OK, I have had a bit going on this week. I didn't mean for this much time to get by me, and before I knew it, the week is almost gone. I have been following Chewy around making sure that he is OK, and that he doesn't make a mess. I take him out every hour if he is awake, and when he sleeps, I have him go outside as soon as he stands up. So this is taking a bit of time and I am enjoying every minute of it.
Right now, my hands and arms look like I have been drug through a saw briar patch. His little teeth are like needles. He is fast as lightening too.
Here he is asleep the first night he spent the night here. He looks like a little squirrel.

His first dig. An important event for a Jack Russell. Look, he has a horse head on his side.

Here, he has been playing with Abbey. He ran across my lap and tumbled as he went across. He is definitely a little clown.

Alison, This is Otis. I had to add him because he is an important part of the group. He has a brother, Milo, but he didn't show up for the photo shooting. :lol2:
Look at Otis' forehead. For a hunter, it's the back side of a buck's head with a rack. For a mechanic, it's a crescent wrench. For a beer drinker, it's a bottle opener. For a cattleman, it's a cattle prod. This defines Otis as a man's cat. Is he flexible or what?

Ken, this one is for you. You asked about how Abbey was going to be about teaching and sharing. It's not a great picture, as it is very early and the sun is just rising. Abbey has just dug up a mole, and she is sharing it with Chewy. He has been shaking it and biting it to make sure that it is dead.
The one thing that upsets Abbey, are Chewy's teeth. They upset me at the moment too. His teeth are so tiny, that they pierce the skin easily. When he latches on to her skin, she scolds him. I will be able to stop him from biting in a little bit.

I am really surprised that she has not been guarding the door as the go outside, to keep anyone from getting in front of her. She is not trying to stop Buster from coming out the door so that he doesn't get in front of her, and allows Chewy to follow as he zips past everyone. It is as if she knows he is a puppy. They are playing out in the yard a lot, and I know that Abbey will drop weight when Chewy gets big enough to really wrestle with her.

I will show the difference as time goes by.

Chuckie, Chewy and Otis are both beautiful!! What fun to have a puppy around!

I raised a small litter of labs last year out of our beloved Katie. They were so much fun, but by 8 weeks we were ready for them to go to their new families. It has been shear joy to watch them grow and develop into awesome dogs! So satisfying to see the new puppy parents love for them. :D

I noticed that on the pictures of Chewy as a baby that I sent in, it shows that I deleted a picture or it is no longer available. I did not delete that picture from Photobucket. That is not the first time that this has happened on the forum. I wonder why the picture disappears?
