Drunken Pecans

Postby skyhightree1 » Fri Dec 25, 2015 12:37 am

My grandmother has always made these pecans that were covered in liquor icing since I was a kid I love stealing them when no one was looking. I made some this year but I soaked them in alcohol for about 5 hours then took them out of alcohol used the alcohol to mix with confectionary sugar and coated them for us to snack on tomorrow. I gave my wife one she said they were strong I hope my kids don't steal them like I use too.

 I love nuts and most of all pecans, I wouldn't steal a few I would take both cups and lock some door behind me! Those are a must try!

I'm not afraid of hard work, I can lay down next to it and fall asleep without a problem.

The folks that try them love them. The pecans are just as expensive as the booze

Sky,
You should get you some of this stuff to drink along with your Drunken Pecans:
http://www.proof66.com/whiskey/revel-st ... hisky.html

It's a fave of mine - but I mix mine with some more Canadian whisky or bourbon.
