Very pretty but I must admit I voted for the old man with the watermelons.

Thanks very much! I wasn't sure when I took it, if it would work with the sunshine almost hitting the lens. But I liked the highlights around the edges. Now I need to kidnap that girl and train her up!

I actually voted for Nesikep's lovely photo. I really like its color and composition, with interesting things going on in the background as well and a sense of perspective with the sky in the corner; it's a great picture!

I went with #4, TN cattleman's daughter with the calf,... what can I say, the black man's melons weren't quite as appealing? BrangusCowgirl's pic was seriously considered, as that is part of the farm life that you typically don't tell your city friends when you shake hands... "Yeah, guess where I had my hand today?" Very nice picture for Putangitangi as well, I like the silver backs of the cows and the fluorescent green grass.

I think there's a mixup in the labelling of the pictures... #9 is Putangitangi's picture of the cows being driven with 16 votes but is labelled as "Mr Hillsdown", and #10 is the Massey and round baler labelled "Putangitangi"...

Beautiful picture! Congratulations Putangitangi!

Nesikep- I tell my nail lady that she has no idea where these hands have been......and I don't think she wants to know either!!
Back when I was married, I was re positioning a foal in utero. I pulled my hand out and told hubby, (at the time) that my wedding ring was still inside! "Our only hope to find it would be after we got the foal out." He turned a bit pale at the thought!
(I was kidding of course!)

I chose mine because it was certain to be different from what you could find on any other farm... Who has a 3' wide combine? Apparently they were made from the early 30's to the early 40's, and sold for $300...
