Those elephant pics are great. That's a curiously photogenic animal. The setting really makes it I think. Here's a pic of a rhino I saw in my scrap iron pile-

Nesi,
If you ever get down here and taste a well made turtle sauce picant (we call those alligator snapping turtles or more commonly loggerheads) you'll dress the weasel for turtle bait pretty quickly.

Although the weasel is a lot easier to dress out than the loggerhead. ;-)

Hey Putangi, do you ever see any kiwi birds there where you are in New Zealand?

Personally I've only ever seen a live one in the zoo. I hear them all the time when out checking the cows during calving and I sometimes see footprints out the back of the farm. There are too many pig dogs for them ever to really recover well around here, despite all the other pest control work we do. That make me sad.

That's too bad about the dogs. It's something though that you hear their calls and see their tracks. :D

I had almost that exact picture, almost ran over the little guy on the dozer pushing brush about 2 weeks ago. It broke his front leg to where he couldn't stand so he went home with a guy that works for us and got a splint and is now on fresh cow milk. I took 2 pictures but when I tried to enter one it kept cutting part of the picture off so you couldn't see all of it.

If you preview it sometimes will crop a pic. I take the original pic , download to my pc and then upload to FB which resizes it to the required dimensions . Next time just send it in and I will let you know if it is cropped in its original . :tiphat:
