Ergots

Postby Bigfoot » Sat May 11, 2013 10:00 pm

I have a horse that grows some really really long ones. I like to shave the feathers on their fetlocks after they've shed their winter coats. Anybody know a good way to remove them, shy of just snipping them off?

A tumble bug makes a hard livin. Why? Cause that's just the way be nice is.

hoof nippers are the easiest. just nip them off being careful not to get too close. We had a Percheron mare who would grow massive chestnuts. They were freaky looking if left alone.
