Pics of some of the cattle here...

Postby Dogs and Cows » Fri Jun 09, 2017 11:37 am

Attached are pics of some of the cows and bull. I am transitioning toward commercial Herefords...but still have some black cattle in the pasture...they are very easy keepers and I am pleased. I hope you enjoy.

Thank you Nesikep. I don't spoil them at all...just grass, hay, and mineral. I am trying to shoot for moderate framed cattle that maintain condition...so far I am doing well. I do have one Hereford yearling (not pictured) at the home place that may not make the cut. Anyway thanks for your complements.

I have similar goals.. got a few that fit that description, now I just have to propagate them.
The one moderate cow that raised a huge heifer last year kinda outdid herself with it and was late this year, but she's in good shape (BCS 6) and I think will be back in the first or early 2nd cycle for next year.. Her heifer is probably around 1100 or so right now.. Doesn't exactly match my "moderate frame" goal, but she's pretty and should produce well
