Thanks all. They were just snuggled up and stayed there while I walked up to them. Couldn't resist getting the phone out. I'm usually slow at thinking about taking random pics.

I like seeing a bit of terrain around the paddocks Jeanne, the rocks and trees just make it a lot more interesting. My place is a bit like a golf course with fairways divided by rocky ridges with trees. I think my calves have a great time growing up with lots of nooks and cranny's to play in and explore and of course sleep. I really think it contributes to my high weaning weights, they are relaxed and contented and just eat, drink, sleep, play and grow.

thanks Ken. That is a hedgerow of trees. The cows "shade, lounge area". the white in the background is a row of baleage on the other side of the fence line.
